If you wanna be free you’ve gotta go it alone and if you wanna go home you’ve gotta build your own,
Cuz you’ll never find what you’re looking for til you open the door to the sweet unknown.

If Berklee doesn’t award him an honorary degree by his 40th birthday, THEY are loosing out. Does that school even offer such a credential? If not, there is always a first.
Bigshot Berklee alum John Mayer was back on campus yesterday, teaching a songwriting master class to a handful of lucky students and hosting a clinic at the Berklee Performance Center. (He performed “Neon’’ and “Shadow Days,’’ among others, and told students: “Be fearless. Every time you do your thing, do it hard. Embrace the simple. Trust that your talent is big enough to manifest your destiny.’’ Huh?) The night before, Mayer dined alone at Haru, eating sushi at the bar.

Now THERE’s happy John:)
