Here’s the thing. For us gals who have many guy pals, we have a very delicate matter. John possesses an overwhelming amount of attractive qualities. We know that but for a man to be a fan of John, he must be extremely comfortable with himself otherwise subconsciously triggered retaliation occurs. Most of that derogatory commentary towards John evolves from this core defense mechanism.

On the female side of the equation, comments towards Jessica stirred up animosity in potentially any woman who does not have the confidence to believe that John could be attracted to her. Since Jessica isn’t such a far stretch from the majority of women as far as BMI is concerned, she can expect more votes of sympathy without even saying a word.

Human nature that can easily be tamed by proximity as John says. Up close, his kind, gentle soul is certainly felt.
